TRANSLATIONS

These are not so much translations, as they are a record of my own ongoing interaction with the texts on various levels. The translations are in varying stages of completion and they tend towards literalness, or at any rate ‘lack of grace’, but their creation has afforded me some pleasure over the years.

No originality is claimed, and many good turns of phrase have been taken from other translators. All such borrowings are freely and gladly acknowledged.
